EcoPave-PS is a sustainable bitumen modification innovation that utilizes Palm Oil Fuel Ash (POFA) and sawdust as eco-friendly modifiers to enhance asphalt pavement performance while reducing agricultural and wood waste. The innovation addresses road deterioration and waste generation by partially replacing conventional materials with locally available waste resources. Marshall Stability evaluation demonstrated that 12% POFA–sawdust modification provides the optimum performance, producing a stronger and more durable asphalt mixture than conventional bitumen. EcoPave-PS is cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and easy to implement using existing asphalt production practices, making it a practical solution for sustainable road construction and maintenance in Malaysia.
