TR267: Automatic Car Lifter

Wang Qi Anshun Vocational And Technical College

Flooding can cause significant damage to vehicles, particularly when cars are parked in low-lying areas during heavy rainfall. This project presents an Automatic Car Lifter prototype designed to protect vehicles by automatically elevating a car parking platform when a flood is detected. The system uses an Arduino microcontroller as the main controller and a water-level sensor to monitor the presence and level of floodwater. When the water level reaches a predetermined threshold, the Arduino activates a motor mechanism to automatically raise the parking platform to a safer position above the floodwater. Once the water level returns to a safe condition, the system can be returned to its original position. The prototype demonstrates an automated and responsive approach to reducing the risk of vehicle damage caused by flooding. The proposed system has potential for further development into a practical flood protection solution for residential areas, car parks, and other flood-prone locations.
