AI Simulation Momentum is an AI-powered educational platform designed to improve students' understanding of momentum and impulse through interactive visualization. Instead of relying solely on mathematical formulas, students can enter a physics problem into an AI chatbot, which provides a detailed explanation while automatically extracting the relevant parameters to generate a real-time 3D collision simulation. The simulation visualizes the entire collision process and displays key physical quantities, including mass, velocity, momentum, impulse, kinetic energy, and the coefficient of restitution. By integrating artificial intelligence with interactive simulation, the project transforms abstract physics concepts into engaging visual experiences, enabling students to develop a deeper conceptual understanding rather than simply memorizing equations.
The project focuses on one-dimensional linear momentum and impulse collisions, covering elastic, inelastic, and perfectly inelastic (sticky) collision scenarios. It is implemented as a web-based application, making it accessible through any modern web browser without requiring specialized laboratory equipment or software installation. Users can modify simulation parameters such as mass, velocity, collision type, and units of measurement, with support for values up to 5,000 kg and 5,000 m/s, while maintaining calculation accuracy to four decimal places. The primary target users are secondary school, matriculation, and pre-university students, as well as physics educators seeking an interactive teaching aid. The project is expected to enhance conceptual learning, improve classroom engagement, encourage self-directed exploration, and provide a cost-effective alternative to traditional physics laboratory demonstrations. Additionally, its modular design allows future expansion to other physics and mathematics topics, creating a comprehensive AI-assisted learning platform.
