Student safety after school hours has become an increasing concern for schools and parents. Many incidents occur when students are left unattended due to delayed guardian pick-ups, communication failures, or inadequate monitoring systems.

To address this issue, VIGIL KID was developed as an Internet of Things (IoT)-based student protection and monitoring system. The system aims to ensure that students who remain at school after dismissal are continuously supervised while providing real-time notifications to parents and guardians.

VIGIL KID integrates facial recognition technology, IoT communication, cloud
databases, and mobile notifications into a single intelligent platform. The system verifies students through facial scanning at the school guardhouse, updates their status automatically, and alerts authorized guardians regarding the student's situation. 
The innovation enhances student protection, improves communication between schools and parents, and reduces the risk of students being left unattended after school hours.
