However, partial and full harvesting are still commonly carried out manually through netting from the tank side or by reducing the water level, requiring considerable time and labour. Bio’ GATE was developed as an innovative harvesting system using a movable gate mechanism that operates like a clock hand to gather fish towards a designated opening. The fish are then collected in a specially designed net to facilitate removal. The system supports both partial harvesting according to fish size or class and full harvesting, thereby accelerating the harvesting process, reducing labour requirements, and improving overall handling efficiency.
