TR198: Malay Version Of Patient Experience Questionnaire For Virtual Consultation (MPEQ-VC): Redefining Patient Voice In Malaysia's Digital Healthcare Revolution

Nasim Muhammad Abdul Kuthoose Universiti Teknologi MARA

Patient experience is vital to improving healthcare, but Malaysia lacks validated tools to assess virtual primary care consultations. This study aimed to develop and validate the Malaysian Patient Experience Questionnaire for Virtual Consultations (MPEQ-VC). Development and validation included item generation, content validation, face validation, reliability testing and exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. The initial 55 items across seven theoretical domains were refined to 25 items measuring three empirically derived domains: ‘Ease of Use’, ‘Involvement of Family Members’ and ‘Patient-Centered Care’, with excellent validity indices and reliability. It is the first tool to evaluate patient experience with virtual consultations and supports the nation's digital health transformation agenda.
